Template Design
Individually designed templates still have some features that are common to all web sites, e.g. menus etc. However, there are many variables that need to be specified and designed to meet your requirements, e.g. font size and colour, hyperlinks, how wide the site is, how big is the banner at the top (or do you have a banner at all?) These are some of the considerations.
When you are considering your web site design it is helpful to at least think about the following:
- Web site banner - how deep?
- Horizontal top menu v Vertical sidebar menu
- Sidebar on the left hand side or right hand side
- Square corner or rounded edges
- Colour schemes
- Other web sites that you like
Of course, the detailed design will be done in consultation with you. However, it is useful to come to that meeting with some idea of what you want.
